IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON NEW TSA CARRY-ON REQUIREMENTS:

New carry-on restrictions call for all liquids to be in 3 ounce bottles or less, and  be placed in a clear
1 quart size zip-top bag.

If in doubt, put your liquids in checked luggage.

Declare larger liquids. Prescription medication, baby formula and milk (when traveling with an infant or toddler) are allowed in quantities exceeding three ounces and are not required to be in the zip-top bag. Declare these items for inspection at the checkpoint.

LAND/SEA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR MEXICO, CANADA & THE CARRIBEAN

On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI.  The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or WHTI-compliant document.

Passport card applications are currently being accepted in anticipation of land border travel document requirements. Based on current projections, production of the passport card will begin in June, and be in full production in July. Once in production, the passport card will only be valid for land and sea travel between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean region, and Bermuda.
